Corporate governance

Since 2001, the corporation is managed by Carol, Fabrice and Nicolas Ostorero.

Carol Ostorero

CME Chief Executive Officer and managing director of the St Elie Mine’s Company.

Carol Ostorero has extensive experience in the corporate world and a perfect knowledge of the social and economic Guyanese web. Chief Executive Officer of several companies (CME-SMSE, Machdeal, Mecadeal, HeliCojyp), she also had the responsibilities of Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Guiana, 6th Vice President of the regional Council of Guiana and President of the Regional Economic Development Agency.

Very invested in the promotion of the mining sector, in 1997, Carol Ostorero created the professional union AGIEM. From 2006 to 2010, she served as President of the Federation of mining operators of Guiana (FEDOMG). Since 2001, she sits on the Guiana Mining Commission.

Fabrice Ostorero

Responsible for strategic and technological development

Before joining CME in 2001, Fabrice Ostorero successfully led his own gold companies for more than 20 years in Brazil and then in Guiana. 

Nicolas Ostorero

Operations manager

Nicolas Ostorero took back CME’s management in 2001. As a real field’s man, he specializes in operational mining management.
