As part of their training as a mining technician at the University of Guyana, the students of the professional license VALORESS were welcomed by the SMSE on the site of Saint-Elie for a week. During their stay at the mine, the students were able to familiarize themselves with the various stages of mining: geochemical and gold pan exploration, the study of cutting faces, the logging of carrots but also the rehabilitation of the sites by discovering the techniques of revegetation of the SMSE by participating themselves in the reforestation of the sector Saint-Auguste.

This field trip saw the light of day thanks to the collaboration of the SMSE, the University of Guyana, the CTG and the PTMG who supervised the students on the site of Saint-Elie.
