On Thursday, March 29, 2018, 6 scientific 11th grade students of Melkior high school were able to visit the mine of Saint-Elie accompanied by Mr. Marguerite, their teacher, and Mr. Cailleau, geologist of the SMSE. They met weekly for an hour to study the geology of Guyana. The aim of the SMSE intervention was to give them the keys to gold exploration so that they could, by themselves, learn about the discovery of deposits using available data and free professional tools (free software).

The day spent at the Saint Elie mine was an opportunity to see on the ground what they had studied in class, and to push until the production of a small film they called "Prospect'or": a project to promote a mining exploration start-up.
