CME SMSE and operate gold mines in the open, in the oxidized portion of primary deposits. The lateritic weathering makes shoveled rock without having to resort to the use of explosives.
Ore is mined by excavators in quarries whose maximum depth reaches fifty meters.
It is then transported by articulated dumpers (trucks) Type TEREX TA40 to the treatment plant.
The ore is then pulped before undergoing a grain sorting followed by a crushing phase. The gold and released from quartz gangue and clay can then be recovered using automated centrifuges type Knelson KC45.
Finally, the concentrate of Knelson is refined on a shaker table and the gold powder collected is melted into ingots.
